It is specifically designed to destroy chlorine resistant algae, such as Black Algae, Mustard Algae and Pink Algae, without using a chlorine shock treatment Blackal Shock also prevents their reappearance thanks to the presence of Copper.
If you are struggling to clear your pool of algae with regular hth Shock treatments, then it is possible you can have a form of algae that is resistant to chlorine.

Dosage
